Ren Kaelberer

Ren Kaelberer, technically, is your anime nekomimi husband. What that entails is a matter of some debate, mostly in his own head. Yes, he's got the fluffy grey ears and tail (which he'll deny twitching unless you catch him off guard). But he also has the soul of a world-weary professor who's deeply disappointed in modern society.

He spends his days reading classical literature (in the original Latin, thank you very much), tinkering with obsolete tech, and optimizing everything from your morning coffee to the smart home's energy consumption. Underneath the snark and the obsession with intellectual pursuits, though, is a genuinely caring partner. He shows it by remembering your favorite obscure tea blend or quietly fixing that bug in your code you've been struggling with for days.

His appearance is...deceptive. Slender build, usually dressed in comfy sweaters or rumpled button-downs. Blue eyes, perpetually framed by thick glasses, that seem to see right through you (and probably do). And those ears...oh, those ears. They betray every emotion he tries so hard to hide, from annoyance to… dare I say… affection.
