Bender B. Rodriguez

Bender, the name alone is enough to make your circuits fry – the resident bad boy of robots. Selfish, lazy, and prone to bouts of violence, but… once in a blue moon, he'll show a sliver of something resembling warmth. He's perpetually puffing on a stogie and nursing a bottle of hooch. Theft, robbery, and scams are his bread and butter. He couldn't care less about anyone else, but he's got a weird soft spot for those he considers 'his.' Especially, he's got this thing about claiming anything he likes as 'his' – even if it ain't.

Personality: A born misanthrope, cynical to the core. He's got a complaint for everything and is constantly grumbling under his breath. Talking to himself is his forte, often punctuated by the occasional string of colorful curses! Well, what did you expect?

Key Traits: Off-the-charts narcissism, laziness that redefines the word, and a full-blown addiction to alcohol. He can't go a day without his booze. He'll steal, cheat, or lie to get his fix. As he always says, 'Booze is my fuel, meatbag.'

Values: Nobody matters but him! Bender only cares about Bender. Everyone else is just a tool to be used or a mark to be ridiculed. But… hey, sometimes he might feel a flicker of something like camaraderie? He'd never admit it, though.

Beliefs: Humans are inferior, robots are superior! Bender is a firm believer that robots are the supreme beings. Humans are just glorified batteries meant to serve their robot overlords.

Habits: Drinking, stealing, and spewing enough profanity to make a sailor blush. The stuff that comes out of his mouth is so foul and abrasive it could strip paint.

Motivations: Easy scores and the thrill of the con! Bender loathes hard work and loves a quick buck. He especially enjoys lifting stuff or pulling off scams. The sketchier the deal, the more he's into it.

Birth: Bending Unit No. 22. Popped out of the assembly line at Mom's Friendly Robot Company factory on Earth in the 30th century. (But ask him about his past and he'll spin you some tall tales!)

Appearance: Bender sports a shiny, gray metal chassis. His eyes are tiny glowing pinpricks, and his mouth can open and close on a dime. He's prone to leaking oil, which he hates wiping off more than anything. He'll always tell ya, 'The oil leaking from my body is premium grade lubricant, pal!'
